Women are great at multi-tasking. Just watching a woman juggle work and family along with all of her other responsibilities can be exhausting but there is one area where many women simply drop the ball; taking charge of their financial well-being.

Women live an average of nearly 5 years longer than men or put another way 50% are expected to live past 85. That’s a projected retirement of 20 years or longer, yet only 8% are prepared to finance a retirement of that length.

Women are more inclined to take time off from their careers to rear children or care for aging parents and they earn on average only 81% of what their male counterparts earn. These numbers may pose a challenge for women. They must be ready to spend more years in retirement with potentially fewer resources to fund those years.
